Israel's History

The History of Israel is found in two versions in the Hebrew Bible/Old Testament. First in the so-called Deuteronomistic History that spans Joshua, Judges, Samuel, and Kings. The second is found in the books of Chronicles. Both of these histories are written from the perspectives of people after the events they describe (duh!). These two videos explore the ways in which the perspective of the authors/compilers of these texts help us understand the texts themselves.
